A dehumidifying dryer is recommended (relatively hygroscopic).
Melt Temperature
310~330°C
⚠ Thermal degradation risk above 330°C
Minimize residence time and avoid exceeding this temperature.
Mold Temperature
120~150°C

Common Defects & First Checks
Silver Streak
PA46: extremely hygroscopic, Tm 295°C.
Flash
PA46: extremely hygroscopic, Tm 295°C.
Field Notes
PA46: extremely hygroscopic, Tm 295°C. Drying 16-24hrs (3-4x PA66) with dehumidifying dryer is mandatory — hot air dryers are insufficient. PA46-specific: blistering after reflow soldering (260°C+). Beyond 9-type: thermal degradation above 330°C.
