Field Notes

POM(acetal): high shrinkage. Releases formaldehyde gas above 230°C → needs excellent venting, no dead spots in hot runners. Narrow processing window. Beyond 9-type: formaldehyde deposits, center-gated voids. Copolymer baseline (Korean market default). Homopolymer melt 205-225°C, hard limit 230°C; copolymer hard limit 238°C. Copolymer: avoid residence >15min above 193°C (formaldehyde).
